Ghostwriting
Do You Believe in Ghosts?
“As self-publishing gains cachet, more business people are looking at books as effective promotional tools. The actual writing often is the hardest part. For first-timers, many publishing firms offer research and ghostwriting services.”

Without a ghostwriter many politicians, athletes and other busy people would never write their “autobiography.” Or create a blog, write an editorial or develop a presentation for lucrative speaking engagements. Some very powerful people believe in ghosts. They just don’t admit it in public.
My name is Douglas Glenn Clark and I am often invisible to the people whose eyes pore over the writing I do for others. I don’t mind standing in the shadows if it means one of my clients is finally receiving the recognition he or she truly deserves — thanks to their novel, memoir, self-help guidebook, spiritual journal or financial market instruction manual.
I have written extensively for businesses and individuals, providing ghostwriting and copywriting services to create Web content, editorials, feature stories, press releases, speeches – and books that otherwise would never see the light of day.
How much does it cost?
Ghostwriting a book generally costs $8,200 to $43,500. Why so wide a range? Price is determined by the complexity and length of the project. A 100-page book (25,000 words) would be in the lower range. A 400-page (100,000 words) would cost more. Much can be achieved in 200 pages. Each book project requires a down payment, with incremental payments due as the work progresses.
Just need a little help?
An hourly rate of $115 is available for short-term projects. That rate drops to $105 per hour for clients who pre-pay 25-hour blocks of time.
Just need copy editing help?
Good copy editors do more than check spelling and grammar; they ask questions, reveal inconsistencies in voice or holes in logic and storytelling. My copy editor has decades of experience working with individuals and metro daily newspapers. Rate: $35 per hour. (Flat rates available for some projects.)
