Jennifer Weiner offers some interesting observations about story and writing in today’s Los Angeles Times.
First, what constitutes “worthwhile” writing by men and women?
When stories connect with readers, those stories become valuable. Obviously, Ms. Weiner has a unique “touch.” Her voice — she says she was born with it — is compelling and accessible and speaks to issues (“ish”) that shape the lives of her readers.
Not to mention that this best-selling author goes well beyond her books to speak with readers via social media.
Jennifer Weiner loves the conversation she has started. That’s what make her books “worthwhile.”
